James 1:27 27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

We must look intently into The Word Of The Lord .The Bible calls us to true freedom, which is submission to God’s Word. To live this way requires going to The Word intently not casually in prayer . The one who submits to transformation by the Word and is a doer will be blessed.
Don’t let the world rub off on you, but you rub off on the world.

Intro:

King James Bible That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them. Mark 4:12 Man’s greatest need is Revealation: man must see the condition that he is in, and look to Christ to get him out of it.
Conversion can take place when a man can see his condition, and come to realize that he really need The lord’s help.

I. Personal Religion

No man can do these things except He be sent from God.
“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Truly Truly emphazises importance, gave Jesus a compliment, compliments are not enough, God wants your Heart, your whole heart.
A. Many in today’s world profess religion but have never experienced a spiritual and personal encounter with Jesus Christ.
B. We must be “born again” through repentance and faith. When God forgives our sins, He receives us into the family of God (Luke 13:3–5). Repentance: Change vs. I’m sorry
Many people believe their parents relationship is enough, their denomination is enough, Just being in church won’t get, Jesus says their are Tares in this church, It is more than Just going to church. The whole church is not going, He wants all of your heart.
I Cor 13 Love

II. Purifying Religion

“… the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:7)
A. Many Christians have never totally committed their lives to Jesus Christ. They falter because they persist in having their own way.
B. We must surrender our will unreservedly to God’s will. Doing so brings cleansing and the presence of the Holy Spirit (1 Thess. 5:23).

Jude 24-25 24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:17 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

III. Positive Religion

“We know that we have passed from death unto life …” (1 John 3:14).
A. There is a lack of sureness in today’s religion. Many are vague and uncertain about their spiritual state. They declare, “I guess so,” or “I hope so.”
B. We can be positive, for we “know [in whom we] have believed.” No argument can refute the “I know,” or “I have” response (2 Tim 1:12)

IV. Powerful Religion “

Who are kept by the power of God through faith …” (1 Peter 1:5).
A. Much modern religion makes no claims concerning its power to save, sanctify, and sustain. It is a powerless religion.
Saved and shacking, saved and tell lies, saved and gamble, hitting up the casino, saved and drinking. we need a religion that makes us positive we are going, a religion that makes us not afraid of dying.
B. The need is for a religion with power—God’s power. He is able to forgive sins, cleanse hearts, heal the sick, and “keep that which [we] have committed unto him …” (2 Tim. 1:12).

V. Productive Religion “

… I have chosen you … that ye should go and bring forth fruit …” (John 15:16). A. Many Christians fail to work diligently for God. Some are unconcerned; some are neglectful. Others are spiritually lazy. B. We must be about the Master’s business. Jesus is coming soon. We should pray for the needs of others, assist the less fortunate, and share Christ with the unsaved (Acts 1:8). 21
